Entrance Requirements

Learn about the admission requirements to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at Scrubs Academy!

Enroll Today

  • Students must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Students must be in good physical health and able to safely lift 50 lbs.
  • Students must assist both males and females.
  • Students must be able to meet required documentation of ability to speak, read, write and understand the English Language at an 8th grade level. Approved documentation:
    • ACT reading score of 21 or higher;
    • Accuplacer reading comprehension score of 51 or greater;
    • completed 12 or more credits from an accredited college, with a grade of C or better which included an English composition course; or,
    • MOST COMMON METHOD: A monitored English Language Arts Reading Comprehension Grade 8 exam at Scrubs Academy with a score of 70% or greater.
  • Students must be able to attend ALL classroom, lab and clinical of registered class.
  • Students must be able to meet all policies as outlined in handbook including cell phone and smoking policies.
  • If the student has a disability and needs accommodations, the student must provide diagnosis in writing from their health care provider. This request must be made at the time of enrollment and allow reasonable time to set up accommodations. It is the student’s responsibility to determine what accommodations are required. All students must successfully complete all skills in the lab and clinical setting. No skills can be waived or excluded for the training program to maintain approval status.
